Flight Risk Capital

Who is leaving Britain and what it costs to stay

Editorial policy

Flight Risk Capital publishes sourced reports and tested calculations about leaving the UK. We separate reported facts, estimates and opinion, and explain uncertainty beside the claim.

How do we choose tracker entries?

We cover well-known people and companies with a dated, qualifying report or primary statement about a move abroad. We record plans, returns and corrected reports separately. A company listing change does not show that its staff moved. Our tracker method sets out the inclusion rules, evidence requirements and status definitions.

How do we check sources?

We prioritise primary sources: official statistics, government guidance, company announcements and on-record statements. We open sources, check what they support and record the source date and the date checked. A search preview alone is not evidence. Secondary reports stay attributed to their outlet. When evidence is incomplete, we state the limit and withhold unchecked tracker entries.

How do we calculate and test figures?

Figures carry named sources, periods and dates. Calculators use rules kept separately from page text. Tests cover worked examples, boundary cases and an independent UK tax calculation. We show assumptions, omitted rules and rounding. We withhold salary comparisons where checks that affect results are incomplete.

Who checks our work?

Each step has its own check, kept separate from the work it checks:

Who pays for the publication?

We have no ads, affiliate links or sponsors. We accept no payment from anyone named on the site. Editorial inclusion and corrections cannot be bought.

Why is the publisher anonymous?

We publish as Flight Risk Capital to keep attention on evidence and protect the publisher's privacy. The publication takes responsibility for its work under that name. Readers and anyone named can contact us through the contact form.

How do we use AI?

We use AI research and drafting tools. Every figure is checked against its source and calculators are tested before we treat their results as checked. AI output alone is not evidence. Figures awaiting checks carry a visible label and block public launch.

How do we handle corrections and replies?

Send the page link, the disputed claim and supporting evidence. Anyone named may send a right of reply. We aim to respond within 5 working days. This is a target, not a guarantee. We check the evidence, correct material errors and record the date, page, change and reason in the public corrections log. We do not publish private submissions or repeat removed names in that log.
